Mrs. Kelsey Anderson is the current business, marketing, accounting, and keyboarding teacher as well as the supervisor of FBLA. She is also one of the class sponsors for the class of 2019.
Mrs. Anderson graduated from Hermann High School. She got her Bachelor’s from Missouri State University, and from there she went to University of Central Missouri for her Master’s degree.
Regarding her decision to teach, Mrs. Anderson explained, “I graduated Missouri State with a Bachelor’s in Communication and started working after graduation at a company that worked with school districts and another where I worked with college campuses. My job with these employers had many different roles, however I gravitated to the training aspect in each of them. After several years of feeling unsatisfied with my job, I decided that I wanted to return and obtain my Master’s to teach high school business and therefore went back to University of Central Missouri to do just that.”
We are all glad she came to join the NHHS staff, which she has been a part of for 2 years. However, most are wondering about her pregnancy.
Mrs. Anderson reports that her baby is due on the 21st of this month. Although, she and her husband do not know the gender.
When asked why they decided to keep the gender unknown, Mrs. Anderson explained, “Tyler and I both wanted it to be a surprise as we felt like it would be one of the greatest surprises we could ever have. We are getting very antsy, though, at this point.”
When you see pregnancy on TV, it is often depicted with very bright and high expectations of perfect, no-issues-whatsoever pregnancies, and the mothers just magically know everything. However, according to Mrs. Anderson, that is not accurate.
Mrs. Anderson said on the topic of expectations, “Honestly, I didn't know what to expect. I went into it without a lot of expectations, just because I know from so many of my friends that everyone's pregnancy is so different. I really tried to just take everything in and ask questions along the way if I had them. I'm extremely lucky in that I have had great support from family and friends along the way that have been through this and they have really been able to answer any questions I have had.”
Mrs. Anderson has said she is most excited about being able to see and hold her child, and see her husband, Tyler, hold their child.
On the topic of hearing any horror stories, Mrs. Anderson explained, “No one needs to hear the horror stories of others. Besides, once that little baby is in your arms, I heard it is all worth it!”
We are all excited for you, Mrs. Anderson! Congratulations!
