We started the day off at 4:30 A.M. with bag searches and lots of family pictures, and we finally left at around 5:00 A.M.
Several seniors on the bus were heard saying things like, “Why do you have so much energy right now?”
We stopped for breakfast at McDonald’s in Nashville, Illinois, and Lexi Oetterer and Miranda Durbin described it as the “finest cuisine.” We were back on the bus at 8:00 A.M.
During the bus trip, we watched Jurassic World and played various games, and then stopped at Opry Mills mall in Nashville, Tennessee, at 1:30 P.M. for lunch. Afterwards, we toured the University of Tennessee and ate dinner at 6:30 P.M. We arrived at the hotel at 9:00 P.M. for some much-needed sleep.
As you can see, we are off to a great start! We watched lots of movies and slept most of the time on the bus. We saw a lot of great things and made lots of memories. If you ask me, day 1 was a success!
