Labor Day constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country. It is celebrated on the first Monday in September.
Labor Day is a bank holiday in the United States, so let's see what our students at New Haven High School did on their day off.
“I basically chilled with my friends,” said junior Joseph Malone.
“I went to a Lake Party,” mentioned junior Ian Nieto.
Junior Chloe Lueckenhoff commented, “I worked at the Care Center.”
“I went to the Lake of the Ozarks,” replied senior Johnna Bloch.
Senior Brandon Young said, “I sadly had to work at Casey’s, but I hung out with my friends afterwards.”
“I went to the movies and watched Ready or Not,” replied senior Sam Penning.
“I worked at KFC and gave old people chicken,” answered senior Austin Yochim.
Senior Bernabe Ribera explained, “Unfortunately, I had to work at El Ranchito, but I had a great time.”
It sounds like NHHS students had a blast on their Labor Day weekend!
