
Mr. Peirick most recently served as the physical education teacher at New Haven High School for the past eleven years. Prior to teaching physical education, he taught industrial technology at New Haven High/Middle School for two years and has also served as the head boys’ basketball coach for the past eleven years. Additionally, he has coached baseball, track and field, and middle school girls’ basketball during his career.
Dr. Hoener commented, “Our committee was very impressed with Mr. Peirick during the interview process. His long-standing dedication to the school has given him a unique and comprehensive understanding of the school environment. Moreover, having lived in New Haven his entire life, Mr. Peirick has developed a deep pride in our community, and I am confident that he is ready to transition into an administrative role.”
“I am very excited to step into this new role and to continue working with our Shamrock students, staff, families, and community”, said Mr. Peirick. “Together, we will help our students uphold our Tradition of Excellence and reach their full potential. I take tremendous pride in our school and community, and serving as principal means so much to me. I would like to thank the Board of Education, Dr. Hoener, and the hiring committee for placing their confidence in me. I can’t wait to get started!”
