Amelia W. Heimos is the November Student of the Month for New Haven Middle School. Amelia is the daughter of Lisa and Eric Heimos. She is involved in cross country and volleyball.
She is on a swim team and spends most of her time with her pets and family. Ameilia also likes to make jewelry and go outside. She has been on the honor roll and has received medals and placed in cross country. Amelia has three sisters, two dogs, and a bunny. Her teacher describes Amelia as an exceptional student. She is a natural leader who leads with hard work, acceptance, and kindness. Though new to the district this year, she has seemed to find her place at NHMS. In class, she is eager to learn and one of the first to contribute to a discussion or lend a helping hand. The quality of her work is outstanding. Amelia’s favorite subject is PE because she likes sports and running. Congratulations, Amelia! Morgan Guehne is the November Student of the Month for New Haven High School. Morgan is the daughter of Luke and Michelle Otten and Scott and Erica Guehne. She is involved in volleyball, basketball, and track. She is also involved in FCCLA, National Honors Society, Publications, and is currently the Vice President of Communications in FBLA. Outside of school, Morgan loves spending time with friends and family, going out to get food, and watching movies. She has received the Academic Activity award during her sophomore and junior year. She was on the honor roll in her freshman, sophomore, and first-semester junior years and the High Honor roll in the second semester of her junior year. She earned Academic All-Conference during her junior and senior years and All-District 2nd Team during her senior year for volleyball. Morgan enjoys playing volleyball and basketball this year with her little sister Alivia. Morgan’s favorite thing about being a Shamrock is sports because we all always have to prove something and all of us are very close. Her favorite class is either AP Psychology or Publications because she loves learning about how people process things in everyday life, and she enjoys making posts to share information with the school and community. Morgan plans on attending Mizzou in the fall to major in Business Administration with a focus on Finance and Banking. According to her teacher, she never misses a review session and always goes above and beyond to do any enrichment activities. She is also a very talented graphic designer and when asked to help, she didn't hesitate to help in her limited free time. Finally, Morgan is a great person, she knows exactly when to have fun in class and sports and when to be serious. She is a trustworthy and reliable young woman who has great leadership skills and is a tremendous peer influence on her classmates and teammates. Congratulations, Morgan!
