In August 1965, Mrs. Spore moved to New Haven High School, where she taught until May 1997. For Kathryn, teaching was not a profession, but a passion. Her great desire to bring literature, music, and American history alive to her students is perhaps her greatest legacy, akin to addition to her singular personality and enthusiasm. Each student who went through NHHS during Kathryn’s teaching tenure was impacted by her. She is – a Shamrock legend.
