The New Haven School District has an opening for High School/Middle School Principal. Apply at https://newhavenschools.schoolspring.com/?jobid=5058168   The New Haven School Board has accepted Mrs. Tina Wnuk’s resignation as principal of New Haven Middle/High School, effective at the end of the 2024‑25 school year. She will begin her new role as Superintendent of the Spring Bluff School District on July 1, 2025.
Mrs. Wnuk feels the change is positive but bittersweet, “Serving as principal of New Haven Middle and High School has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional life. The students here are beyond compare. I am deeply grateful for the support of the superintendent and school board as well as the dedication and hard work of the teachers and staff. The lessons I have learned and the relationships I have built here will remain with me always. While I am excited about the opportunity to lead at the district level, I will greatly miss being a Shamrock. I am confident that New Haven Middle and High School will continue to thrive, and I look forward to seeing all the successes that lie ahead.¨ Mrs. Wnuk served in the New Haven School District for six years, all of which she held the role of principal at both New Haven High School and New Haven Middle School. We wish her the best in her new position.  Brookelyn Vogelsang is the February Student of the Month for New Haven High School. She is a senior and the daughter of Joe and Michelle Vogelsang. Brookelyn is involved in cross country, track, cheerleading (captain), FTA, Four Rivers, and marching band. Outside of school, she volunteered during summer school to help both teachers and students. She enjoys going on long walks to clear her mind and loves spending time with her family and friends. Recently, her hobbies have included baking, building new connections, and making new friendships. When she was five, Brookelyn won Miss Missouri in a pageant competition and also took a tap and ballet dance class. Her favorite color is dark purple, and she adores sea turtles. Her favorite show is Law & Order, and her favorite movie is Zootopia. She has three brothers who have had a huge impact on her life and a dog named Baxter. Brookelyn medaled in the 4x200 meter relay at state track and has received several athletic award certificates. After high school, she plans to attend a four-year college to pursue Early Childhood Education or attend ECC using her A+ scholarship, then transfer those credits to a four-year college. Brookelyn loves being a Shamrock because it’s a tight-knit community, and since New Haven is a smaller school, she can freely communicate with everyone around her. She appreciates how sweet everyone is to one another, and how the teachers truly care about their students and want them to be the best they can be. Everyone around her offers support and encouragement. Her favorite subject is science because she enjoys learning about it and has always been fascinated by every aspect of it.  JoElla Talley is the February Student of the Month for New Haven Middle School. She is an eighth grader and the daughter of Megan Vedder and Jeremy Talley. JoElla is involved in volleyball, track, Student Council, and is the vice president of NJHS. She has played football for three years outside of school. Her favorite subjects are math and science because she excels in math and enjoys learning about the human body. Congratulations, JoElla!
